When lying on a beach we can enjoy the warmth of the sun due to the infrared rays. What happens if the sun disappears behind the clouds? We feel immediately, that it gets colder, even if the environment temperature does not change immediately. The fact is that the transported warmth, infrared radiation, can warm up solids directly, and this happens without large warmth loss.
The biggest difference is the heat they provide—infrared is natural electromagnetic radiation that is not visible to the human eye. A traditional sauna uses heat to warm the air, which, in turn, warms the body, while an infrared sauna heats the body directly without warming the air.
DUO is a very different type of infrared heater with two heating elements in one casing. A smart design and two separate heat sources: magnesium oxide and quartz for balanced and controllable heating.
Quartz emitters radiate heat almost instantly and the temperature they reach is much higher. Its short waves allow penetrating deeper into the skin to relieve the tensed muscles and joints. The magnesium oxide heaters need up to 10minutes to get to their maximum heat, emits a softer heat very pleasant to relax.
Magnesium | Criteria | Quartz |
longer 1.4-3μm | wavelength | shorter 07-1.4μm |
400°C | temperature | 700°C |
shallow | penetration | deep |
long | pre-heat time | short |
Magnesium heaters do not emit visible light in addition to the infrared radiation.
With the advanced infrared heaters, you have all the advantages of infrared technology at hand. The heater housing is design in our factory to achieve maximum output with the built-in reflector. Usually, infrared heaters on the market have a glass filter installed, but Alpha Industries use, by contrast, flocked grids. They are not only safer because they do not retain heat, but they also allow more infrared heat through, which is much more efficient.
Infrawave sauna represent our basic range, the best know-how, same quarts or magnesium heaters, original cedar, standard sizes, that is why production is faster and in bigger quantities. These make Infrawave saunas to have a better price range than Chaleur cabins, which are made by special order and have different options, like adding salt or stones, many different finishes, and designs; also it depends on the wood kind availability.
Generally speaking, infrared saunas are considered safe for most people. However, if you are on medications, have implanted medical devices, or have a medical condition, whether acute or chronic, we advise you to be extra cautious.
Our infrared heaters have been safely tested and approved. The tests were carried out by the renowned Seibersdorf scientific research laboratory in Austria and the TÜV certification institute in Germany.
In case of serious diseases, cardiac diseases, pregnancy and/or general bad condition, please consult your physician before using an infrared sauna.
Yes, infrared saunas help our body release toxins and therefore boost the burn of calories.
Even though medicines and other techniques such as yoga are used to fight insomnia, the luxury of relaxing in an infrared sauna is healthier than taking medicines. It has also a better relaxing effect. Sometimes during the day or in the evening an hour before going to bed, the penetrating warmth and tranquillity of an infrared session will help you fall asleep naturally.
The colour therapy is based on the positive effects of colours on the human being and on the energy centres of our body (chakras). The loss of balance of the energy centres is one of the main factors in the occurrence of different diseases.
There is no one rule regarding the amount of infrared sessions per week, but infrared saunas are certainly safe to be used on a daily basis. In fact, you will see condition improvements sooner if you use it daily. On average, most people have sessions of 30-45 minutes, 3-4 times a week.
This infrared sauna is to be installed indoors and it was foreseen to be used only for domestic purposes only. It must not be installed outdoors or in areas with high levels of humidity or with constant current of air.
-It is recommended to leave the door open after the session.
-Use a clean damp cloth to clean the wood. Do not use detergents!

-Do not cover the heaters with towels or with any other inflammable materials, since it may cause a fire!
An infrared sauna is easy to operate and install, it requires just a power supply, there is no need for a special electricity supply or ventilation. Read all the relevant electrical requirements of the sauna to ensure you have a perfectly working unit.
The power supply required for the infrared sauna is 220V – 16 amperes.

Yes, because we have flock grids protection on the heater, which does not warm-up as a glass cover for heaters, there is no risk of getting burn injuries.
Outside you can do whatever you want, paint or varnish, but inside additional we can apply natural oils for the longer life span of the infrared cabins.
